Description:

The primary goal of the project is the physical implementation of quantum bits, the creation of tools for operations on quantum bits and quantum information transmission, and the operation of quantum communication protocols. Another goal is to research new applications of quantum technology to solve complex optimization problems and abstract physical models. The work packages of the project map out the four pillars in the European Quantum Technologies Flagship program: quantum communication, quantum computing, quantum simulation, and quantum sensing. In the area of quantum communication, the project aims at producing operating quantum cryptographic systems. The development of a state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure for conducting international level photonics and quantum communication researches.
