INNOVATIVE COMPUTING AND INFOCOMMUNICATION SOLUTIONS...
Project ID:
EFOP 3.6.2.- 16
Phase:
Benyújtva
Duration:
2017.09.01 - 2020.08.31
Description:

On the professional side, the awarded application includes three different, but closely-coupled, mutually strengthening components.
1 / A further increase of the Hungarian role in EIT Digital by achieving outstanding basic research results. The significance of the award is increased by the fact that the Hungarian node has become a full member in the beginning of 2017. In order to strengthen Hungarian participation, the aim of the project is to broaden the relationships with EIT Digital network research sites, to receive visiting researchers, to create consortium-building visits and develop common application topics.
2 / Link the basic research results of ELTE, BME and PPKE. The 3 research pillars are as follows:
   a) software development methods and IT security;
   b) IT infrastructures and cyber physical systems;
   c) intelligent data analysis.
We also involve students, PhD students and young researchers in the research, provide them scholarships, wages and support the presentation of the results at international conferences. Our visibility is further strengthened by supporting the conference participation of supervisors, senior researchers.
3. As a result of the EFOP application, activities and developments are performed by ELTE in Szombathely related to pillar a), by BME in Balatonfüred related to pillar b), and by PPKE in Esztergom related to pillar c). At the end of the four project work packages, BME organizes conferences in Balatonfüred involving Carpathian Basin and EU researchers. In Balatonfüred we create an about 500 virtual machine-sized computing cloud, to support both the researches within the project and BME VIK education.
