EIT Digital is the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). In the community, from 9 countries, Berlin, Budapest, Eindhoven, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Paris, Stockholm and Trento each form a so-called full member node since 2017, and to these centres a number of other cities, many industrial partners and universities connect. EIT's organization in general, and within that EIT Digital, holds it a principle to strengthen European innovation by way of forming and developing the so-called knowledge triangle of education, research, and business thinking. In Budapest node, BME has been involved since 2012, partly with PhD and MSc training programs for entrepreneurial skills development, and partly with innovation projects. In MSc education, BME, together with other institutions, issues dual diploma in Digital Media Technology and Embedded Systems programs, and their educators participate in ELTE's Security & Privacy program teaching, and in the PhD program, BME was among the first in launching the so-called industrial EIT Digital PhD program. The results of the BME Crysys Lab in the field of critical infrastructure protection have major impact on Innovation programs.
